Job Description
Cost estimating and budgeting:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment, and develop and manage project budgets.
Cost tracking and control:
Monitor actual project costs against the budget, analyze financial data, and prepare regular cost reports.
Risk management:
Identify potential financial risks and develop preventative solutions to minimize losses.
Change order review:
Review change order requests to confirm if they are within or outside the original scope and analyze their cost implications.
Supplier and vendor management:
Research and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for materials and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Reporting and communication:
Prepare and present cost-related information to project managers and stakeholders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
