We're Hiring: Project Cost Engineer – Propulsion (Automotive) Join a high-impact Propulsion Cost Engineering team supporting a leading general OEM. If you bring deep expertise in manufacturing processes + cost estimation, this role puts you at the center of powertrain cost strategy. Technical Scope Transmissions (assembly, casting, machining, forging, grinding, mechanics) Drivelines (axles, transfer case, assembly, machining, forging) Internal Combustion Engines (engine block, cylinder head, oil pan, casting) Key Responsibilities (Costing & Estimation) Develop should-cost models for propulsion components and assemblies Perform bottom-up cost breakdowns (BOM, materials, labor, overhead, tooling, capex) Analyze manufacturing processes (casting, machining, forging, assembly) to estimate cost drivers Conduct RFQ analysis & supplier quotation validation Benchmark costs using historical data, market intelligence, and design assumptions Identify cost reduction opportunities (VA/VE) and suppor...
