Counsellor 1 - EYCC

The Counsellor 1 in the Early Years Counselling & Consultation (EYCC) Program works as part of an interdisciplinary team to collaboratively identify and address through counselling and psychoeducation the lagging skills identified for children 6 years of age and under and their families. Qualifications

SSW, CYW or equivalent – Candidate to be registered with applicable regulatory college where applicable; 2 to 3 years practical experience working with children under the age of 6 years; Familiarity with offering services via virtual platforms (i.e. email, text, online virtual counselling) would be considered an asset; If direct virtual supports are unfamiliar then an understanding of the various forms of virtual care, as well as an understanding of clinical and privacy responsibilities would be an asset; Working knowledge and experience treatment planning; Experience facilitating psychoeducational clinics and counselling to young children; Good communication and organization sk...
