Fall 2026 Course Lecturer – POLI 342-001 Canadian Foreign Policy (3 Credits – CAP 80), Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts, McGill University.

Course Description

Development and articulation of Canadian foreign policy: theoretical approaches, environmental setting, historical perspectives, trans‑Atlantic linkages, American connection, common market, United Nations, military security, relations with Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Canada’s role in global society.

Teaching Qualification Requirements

  • A completed PhD degree or enrollment in a doctoral program in Political Science or a related discipline.
  • Evidence of effective teaching ability demonstrated by successfully teaching a similar course.
  • Area of specialization as close as possible to the course content.
  • Teaching assistant experience for a course is an asset.
