Job Description
- Operate cranes (mobile, tower, or overhead) to lift, move, and position materials or equipment as directed.
- Inspect cranes before use to ensure proper functioning, reporting any defects or malfunctions immediately.
- Plan lifts carefully by reading and interpreting blueprints, load charts, and rigging instructions.
- Coordinate with signal persons, riggers, and other team members to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, including daily usage, inspections, and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, OSHA standards, and company policies at all times.
- Perform basic maintenance of the crane, including lubrication, minor repairs, and cleaning.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and personnel during lifting operations.
