Job Description
The Film Director will oversee the creative and technical aspects of the documentary production, ensuring the vision of the project is effectively communicated and brought to life. The role involves directing all stages of the filmmaking process, collaborating with the creative and production teams, and maintaining the highest standards of storytelling while addressing sensitive topics such as female genital mutilation, child marriages, and teen pregnancies in Kenya.
Responsibilities:
1. Creative Direction: Develop and articulate the creative vision for the documentary, ensuring it aligns with the project's goals and themes.
2. Pre -Production Leadership:
• Collaborate with writers, producers, and other key personnel to create detailed scripts, storyboards, and production plans.
• Scout and secure locations for filming.
