The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Education Department is now accepting applications for the school year to fill the following position based out of Bell’s Point Elementary School in La Ronge, SK: Cree Language Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate teaching aides and techniques to meet basic Saskatchewan curriculum standards.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual needs of students.
• Promote and assist in the development of Cree Language and Culture programming.
• Attend staff, community, school committee, parent‑teacher and Cree Language Retention Committee meetings and in‑service workshops to develop a greater understanding of community aspirations and improve personal teaching competencies.
• Participate in operation of the school extracurricular program.
