  Overview 
  TITLE: CROP SCOUT / FIELD TECHNICAN 
  LOCATION: BAKERSFIELD, CA 
  COMPENSATION: $20.00 / HOUR 
  PURPOSE: 
 Responsible for scouting insects, diseases, pests, weeds, and other observations in the field, and reporting issues identified to supervisor.
  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
 Scout for insects, crops diseases, pests, and weeds growing in the field. 
 Learn and become an expert on each of the categories mentioned. 
 Collect soil, tissue, and plant sample for analyses. 
 Locate and identify pests that may impact yield and growth. 
 Conduct root digs in order to look for root-eating pests. 
 Assist with identifying and potentially diagnosing crop diseases or pest infestation. 
 Report filed and crop conditions to PCAs and Agronomists. 
 Input data into AIMS and ensure accurate and timely entry of data.
