Job Description
Become a vital part of the culinary staff at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in the role of Sous Chef. You will assist the Executive Chef with food preorder, kitchen management, and service setups.
This active position focuses on ensuring quality in both food preparation and kitchen organization. You will take part in menu planning, event management, and inventory tasks while promoting our commitment to the Sḵwxwú7mesh and Lílwat7úl cultures. Your leadership skills will shine as you manage kitchen activities, direct your colleagues, and guarantee a high operational standard.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead food prep and execution in Chef’s absence
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization are maintained
• Monitor daily floor cleaning and dish area hygiene
• Report any operational issues promptly to the Chef
• Manage recycling and waste disposal effectively
