Curriculum Development Specialist – Math & Science MTB-MLE

The Curriculum Development Specialist –Math & Science is expected to work on the design and development of bilingual teaching and learning materials for Math and Science that includes textbooks, workbooks, teacher’s guides and other resource materials for TCF schools, which are part of MTB MLE (Mother Tongue Based Multilingual Education) program which is currently being piloted in District Tharparkar of Sindh This includes adapting chapters and lesson plans according to the framework of language transition from familiar medium of instruction (MOI) to unfamiliar. The MOI of the resources will be Sindhi with increasing use of English as grades progress.

Research:

• Study the MTB MLE research to understand the language framework and the role and positioning of each language in it.
• Research on Language Transition and bilingualism in language transition including bilingual material development.
