Curriculum & Professional Development Director

The Director of Curriculum and Professional Development will assist and coach teachers in effective instructional strategies and the selection of curriculum. Reports to the Head of School.

Qualifications:

• Have a vital, growing relationship with Christ.
• Be a regular member of their local church.
• Can agree wholeheartedly to the FIA statement of faith.
• An experienced classroom teacher.
• An understanding of the K-12 scope and sequence across the academic disciplines.
• A good grasp of cognitive development in K-12 students.
• The ability to collaborate with K-12 classroom teachers.
• The ability to develop meaningful professional development and training for adults.
• Master’s degree in curriculum is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Complete accreditation requirements related to Curriculum, as outlined in the FIA School Improvement Plan (SIP).
