Job Purpose

This individual serves as a first-line Supervisor in the Custodial Department. The Custodian Supervisor is responsible for supervising, with designated authority, up to 20 custodian personnel within a designated work area consisting of district buildings—reporting directly to the Manager of Operations. The Custodian Supervisor assists in directing the day-to-day activities, including: training all assigned staff; insuring safe work practices are adhered to; assigning work; preparing daily cleaning schedules; monitoring productivity of personnel; evaluating work assignment and completion of project work; securing buildings, including unlocking and locking buildings; and responding to employee concerns.
