Customer Service Officer

Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for an Customer Service Officer.
  
Contract: 3 months + | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $40 p/h + Super
  
Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming calls from residents about waste, rates, parking, permits, and general council enquiries.
• Log requests and complaints accurately in council systems such as Pathway, TechOne or CRM.
• Provide clear information on council processes, timeframes, and service updates.
• Escalate complex matters to the correct team or officer and follow up when required.
• Process service requests, update customer records, and ensure each enquiry is resolved or directed appropriately.

  
Essential:

• 2+ years experience in an customer service role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
