Customs Compliance Associate

Mandate

Reporting to the department manager, the Customs Compliance Associate will be responsible for advisory services in various areas of customs compliance. The candidate will also be involved in Delmar's internal customs processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare adjustment, corrections, mass adjustments and drawbacks for submission to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), monitor their completion, and keep clients informed of status updates
• Invoice clients for post entry files, FTAs, drawbacks, and related advisory services
• Provide assistance and advisory services in document preparation for clients, including but not limited to HS classification, FTA analysis, customs valuation assessments, commodity tax analysis, duty deferral and drawbacks, customs verification, audit support (both internal and external), preparation of single and mass adjustments, application of customs rulings, appeals, report generation, etc.
