The position is responsible for precisely edging and mounting prescription lenses into customer frames, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. This role involves meticulous inspection of finished spectacles to guarantee they meet quality standards before delivery to customers.
Responsibilities :
Edging & Mounting
• Receive and unpack lenses from the lens envelope, first check on the lenses condition.
• Checking lenses by using the lensometer to ensure the lens power is accurate and do marking for the optical center and axis according to the orders request.
• Perform tracer machine to trace on the spectacle frame/ lens to get the lens shape and size.
• Operate edging machine to edge the lenses into lens shape that required, and gently mounting it on customer’s frame.
• Operate drilling and grooving machine to fulfill Rimlon and Rimless frame requirements.
• Retouch or chamfer the lenses by machine/ hand edge when needed. E.g., lens oversize, transfer frame etc.
