Role Overview
The Cyber Security Monitoring Analyst plays a critical role in protecting the organisation's IT environment by continuously observing security systems and identifying potential threats. This role serves as the initial escalation point for security alerts, performing preliminary analysis and ensuring that genuine incidents are escalated to senior security teams in line with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Continuously monitor security dashboards, SIEM tools, and alerting platforms for suspicious or abnormal activity
• Perform first-level assessment and validation of security alerts to determine legitimacy and potential impact
• Classify, log, and track security events and incidents in accordance with SOC processes
