Cyfoeth Y Coed (“The Riches of the Trees” in Welsh) is a small community interest company. They harvest unwanted produce, mainly apples, for local food sharing groups.
Director (Voluntary position)
Salary: unpaid
Hours: Up to 10 hours a month initially
Location: Swansea
Cyfoeth Y Coed incorporated as a CIC (community interest company) in mid 2024 and are now seeking new directors with time, energy, initiative and creativity to shape and oversee the company’s future.
Over the past five years Cyfoeth Y Coed have picked almost nine tonnes of fruit, donated to Matt’s Café, Swansea Community Fridge, and numerous food banks/pantries. They have also collaborated with Coeden Fach Community Tree Nursery to run juice workshops for local children. They have a wonderful group of volunteers who come back year after year to pick apples and prune trees.
