Position Summary:
Supervises and/or conducts testing appropriate to assigned section. Plans, organizes and directs the daily activities of the personnel assigned to the section to assure quality of testing and an optimum workflow.
Essential Functions:
Assists in the instruction of laboratory staff members in all phases of laboratory medicine and technique as requested. Responsible for the operation of all instruments in the section. Performs and documents maintenance checks and adjustments on all appropriate instruments and equipment. Takes appropriate troubleshooting action. Assures that laboratory workbenches are maintained in an orderly, clean fashion and that supplies are restocked by end of the shift.
