Job Description
Deliver exceptional nursing care in the D5 unit for Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic patients. This role involves both independent nursing and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
As a Registered Practical Nurse in the D5 unit, you will provide person-centred care tailored to the needs of trauma and surgical patients. Your responsibilities will include continuous patient assessments, planning, and evidence-based interventions, all while collaborating with Registered Nurses to manage complex cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify needs for both patients and families
• Perform comprehensive care assessments and planning
• Provide evidence-based interventions and evaluate outcomes
• Contribute to quality improvement and professional development
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Heart & Stroke Foundation CPR certification
• Preferred diploma in RPN
