The Data Governance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and proper management of critical business data across the organization. This role collaborates with business and IT teams to define data governance policies, ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, and support data protection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement data governance policies and standards
Identify critical data sources and establish data retention requirements
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems
Support backup, archiving, and data storage strategies
Collaborate with IT teams on network segmentation and data protection initiatives
Maintain documentation and data inventory records
