Role Summary
The SAP & Filesystem to Open Text DMS Migration Specialist is responsible for migrating enterprise documents and attachments from SAP systems and legacy file systems into an Open Text based Document Management System (DMS).
The role ensures secure, accurate, and compliant migration while preserving metadata, version history, and SAP business object linkages.
Key Responsibilities
Migrate documents and attachments from SAP Content Server, Archive Link, SAP DMS, and file systems to Open Text DMS
Analyse source repositories, document structures, and metadata
Ensure correct linkage of migrated documents to SAP business objects (materials, BOMs, change records, PLM objects)
Validate document completeness, integrity, metadata accuracy, and version history post migration
Support testing cycles, cutover activities, and issue resolution
Apply document retention, archival, security, and compliance policies
