What is a Data Protection Technical Lead?
The Data Protection Technologist is a hands-on technical role focused on understanding where customer / employee / users' data exists, how it moves between systems, who has access to it, and whether the right technical controls are in place.
In simple terms, this role sits between Cyber Security, Legal, Technology, and Privacy, ensuring that data protection is implemented in systems, not just written in policies.
This role reports directly to the Data Protection Officer and works with extended cross-functional teams across Technology, Cyber Security, Product, Digital Platforms, Legal, and Compliance.
