Database Administrator

Overview
We are supporting a large-scale enterprise database migration project involving the transition of a mission-critical Document Management System from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL Managed Instance in a regulated cloud environment. This role is suited for an experienced Database Administrator who has led or supported complex migration and cutover initiatives and is comfortable working in high-availability, compliance-driven environments.
Responsibilities
Assess existing SQL Server databases, including performance, storage, dependencies, and Azure compatibility
Define and execute migration strategy, sequencing, downtime planning, and rollback approach
Perform trial migrations and validate schema, data integrity, application compatibility, and performance
Lead final production migration and cutover with minimal downtime
Conduct post-migration stabilisation, validation, and performance tuning
