Purpose of the Job

The Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, compliant, and available to meet organisational needs. This role involves coordinating transport activities, supervising staff performance, monitoring fuel and maintenance costs, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient and compliant fleet management.

Daily Transport Operations

• Supervise and coordinate daily transport activities, including loading and timely dispatch.
• Schedule fleet availability by forecasting demand and monitoring user trends.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
• Allocate fleet and operational staff to support transport and hub departments.
• Oversee transport equipment and fuel bowser operations.
• Ensure accurate transport debriefing and address transgressions promptly.
