Deck Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an engineer or draftsperson who can prepare deck drawings and layouts based on:

• written project descriptions,
• site photographs,
• basic dimensions and notes provided by our team.

These drawings will be used for three main purposes:

1. For builders — as practical working drawings for construction.

2. For clients — as clear visual representations of the proposed deck.

3. For procurement — to accurately calculate material quantities and costs.

Based on these drawings, our team will:

• purchase materials,
• calculate project costs,
• prepare quotations for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical drawings for residential decks (2D drawings, with simple 3D visualisations where required).
• Work based on written descriptions and photos (no site visits required).
