Deduction Analyst

Job Summary

Responsible for investigating, validating, and resolving customer deductions and chargebacks. Ensures accurate processing of claims, recovery of invalid deductions, and identification of root causes to reduce short-payments while maintaining compliance and clean aging reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and resolve customer deductions (pricing, shortages, returns, trade promotions, chargebacks).
• Analyze supporting documents such as POs, invoices, contracts, and retailer portal records.
• Prepare dispute documentation, submit claims via retailer portals (e.g., Walmart, Target, Amazon Vendor Central), and follow through on recoveries.
• Collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and AR to investigate discrepancies and correct promotional setups.
• Monitor deduction aging, match claims with trade accruals, and ensure accurate system entries (AFS, Doc-Link).
