Job Description
News planning and coordination
Coordinate with Resident Editor, reporters, bureau chiefs, and photographers to plan edition content.
Constantly track developing stories and ensure timely follow-up and coverage.
Coordinate with the national news desk in Chennai and deliver national stories at the earliest.
Coordinate with the internet desk, in line with our online first policy.
Editing and layout
-Edit and fact-check copy for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and adherence to the publication’s style.
-Plan layout, design and execute pages.
-Write compelling headlines, captions, and blurbs.
-Ensure logical story flow and appropriate trimming to fit page space.
-Coordinate with designers for final page layout and visual coherence
