Deputy Head of Centre

Salary £34,320pa – £38,480 depending on qualifications and experience (plus meals during working hours).

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team at this unique centre in beautiful Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The successful applicant will have a varied role in the centre. Duties include:

• Assisting the Head of Centre in the overall running of centre
• Deputising when the Head of Centre is out or on leave
• Instructing activities to a wide variety of groups
• Designing programmes and organising staffing
• Organising the DofE Expedition programme for visiting schools
• Staff training and session observation
• Staff appraisals and coaching for Instructors
• Equipment purchasing and overseeing equipment checks
• Monitoring risk assessments and associated licensing paper work
• Assisting the Friends Committee and promoting the centre
