DERRICK CRANE OPERATOR

Responsibilities

• 1. Attend meetings with nominated barge personnel to review the appropriate requirements of the lifting drawings and the related procedures to be followed.
• 2. Conduct and report on periodic inspections of the cranes including manufacturer maintenance recommendations to the Plant department.
• 3. Report any defects observed as per manufacturer’s instructions to Barge Foreman.
• 4. Ensure that the crane, cabin and engine room are kept clean and free of clutter.
• 5. Clearly display and update the load chart in the cabin to ensure it is visible to all during normal operating conditions of the derrick crane.
• 6. Ensure compliance with Company codes, HSE & offshore regulations and the barge’s operations manual.
