Design Engineer

ROLE PURPOSE: Provides engineering support to projects from concept design to detailed design either by directly carrying out the engineering activities (from concept to basic design) or by monitoring and approving the activities carried out by third parties (pertaining to him/her) that will address the business unit's requirement and deliverables.

DELIVERABLES:

• Conceptualizes designs across project phases, including gathering information, calculations, preparation of drawings and technical specifications, and writing of technical reports as far as the discipline is concerned.
• Reviews/evaluates technical reports submitted (according to the engineer's discipline)
• Reviews and evaluates project designs as against project objectives as well as the overall performance/status of a project
• Prepares bid documents, drawings and BOQ from Project Discipline Engineers
