The Wire Harness Design and Release Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design, validation, and release of wiring harness assemblies and associated components for vehicle electrical systems.
This role ensures that all design documentation aligns with master models and supports cross‑functional activities throughout the product lifecycle – from concept through launch and post‑production support.
The engineer will collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and quality stakeholders to drive robust design execution, change management, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Lead and assist in the creation of D models and D drawings for wiring harness assemblies.
Ensure part drawings and documentation match master models (Model is Master).
Author and validate CCDs, CNs, IAAs, and PERs to meet all engineering and release requirements.
