Desk Controller

Job Purpose

Responsible for the operation of the main MCC Desk, effectively communicate on the radio and telephone with maintenance staff and flight crews to satisfy customer flight schedules as and when required, coordinate maintenance activities for aircraft on the Line.

Principal Accountabilities

Communicate information to flight crew (excluding airworthiness information), technical personnel, other departments and/or customer airlines i.e.

Parking bays, aircraft ETA, fuel figures, aircraft movement information, ETOPS checks, MEL deferments, ground support equipment etc.

Compile an aircraft schedule, update and make available to all applicable personnel

Monitor all changes to the aircraft schedule and communicate the information to all applicable personnel.

Arrange for aircraft spares and ground handling equipment as required

Ensure that aircraft movement between SAA Technical and ramp area is tracked and recorde...
