Job Summary

The General Despatch Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the despatch department, ensuring that goods are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time. The role involves handling stock, preparing orders for delivery, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for despatch
• Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles
• Checking orders for accuracy and reporting discrepancies
• Labelling, wrapping, and securing goods for transport
• Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
• Completing basic paperwork and updating despatch records
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse and despatch area
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
• Supporting other warehouse duties as required
