Detention Guard - Sechelt (Sunshine Coast)

Commissionaires BC is looking to hire casual on call detention guards to work with us at the RCMP detachment in Sechelt Shift Times:  On-Call - Days, Evenings and Overnights   Payrate: $22/hr Position Summary:  Under the direction of the RCMP Member responsible for Cell Block Operations, Detention Guards are primarily responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of persons in custody as well as performing additional duties as required.

You must live withing a 30 minutes drive of the detachment.  Duties And Responsibilities: Observe and check prisoners frequently and irregularly, including the use of CCTV Assist RCMP members in prisoner searches, under direction Organize meals, record prisoner activity, and maintain a prisoner activity logbook Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of cells when vacated or arrange janitor assistance Conduct search of cells prior to occupation and when cells are vacated, reporting any damage Maintain cellblock sec...
