Job Description
Join Lower Trent Conservation as a Development Officer, contributing to environmental administration and enforcement in Ontario. This role involves inspections, permit management, and compliance monitoring for conservation initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Development Officer ensures adherence to the Conservation Authorities Act and oversees flood forecasting and low water response programs. Key activities include inspecting development compliance, reviewing technical reports, and managing GIS data. The role works with stakeholders to enforce regulations while maintaining quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site inspections for act compliance
• Administer permits under Ontario Regulation 41/24
• Review technical reports related to development activities
• Coordinate inspections and issue violation notices
• Represent LTC at public hearings and forums
