Job Description
Join the administrative leadership team as a Development Officer focused on municipal planning and development. This pivotal role manages zoning, permits, and stakeholder interactions.
You will oversee land use planning within the Municipality, processing various applications in accordance with the Planning Act. The Development Officer works closely with the CAO and Council on compliance matters, development proposals, and strategic municipal policy implementation. Your interaction with residents and external partners is crucial for effective project execution and maintaining municipal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process building permits, zoning, and subdivision applications
• Develop agreements and coordinate with legal and engineering stakeholders
• Manage compliance with municipal by-laws and standards
• Advise Council on legislative requirements and proposals
• Supervise departmental administrative functions and staff
