DevOps Engineer

Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions in South Africa.
We're searching for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer / SRE in the Payments space to join a system integration partner of ours in Johannesburg.
Please note, this is a 6 month extendable contract.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven track record managing AWS at scale (EKS, RDS, EC2, IAM, networking).
Experience in a Payments-focused background.
Expertise in observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki).
Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in production.
Proficiency in CI/CD using GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
Experience achieving and maintaining 99.99% uptime in production systems.
Strong understanding of AWS cost management and optimization.
Familiarity with incident management processes, SLAs, and root cause analysis.
