Diabetes Camp Counselor - Yaphank, NY

Assist in teaching educational camp programs at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center. Assist with day-today operations of the Diabetes Camp Program.


Required Qualifications:

+ Paid or volunteer experience working with children and/or the public.

+ Experience with diabetes education and/or issues related to the disease.

+ Must be at least 16 years old to comply with New York State Department of Health regulations.

+ Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.

+ Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.


Preferred Qualifications:

+ Additional education and training in the field of education.

+ Additional education in the areas of environmental science, horticulture, animal science, agriculture and/or natural science.

+ Some teaching experience.
