Diabetic Foot Nurse - Registered Nurse - EMAPS E Equivalent

Existing Grant-Funded Continuing Full-Time 35.00 hours/week Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm - travel required

Salary Range: $41.01 - $50.30 per hour

Responsibilities

• Performs diabetic foot assessments and care, lower extremity ulcer care and initiates and/or recommends appropriate anti-microbial therapy (wound care) in the event that a patient requires urgent intervention using management strategies as outlined in the current Manitoba Diabetes Care Recommendations and the current Canadian Diabetes Association Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Performs basic assessments of blood flow (ABPI) using a blood pressure cuff and Doppler ultrasound probe and may direct further management.
