Dialysis Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shall perform adequate rinsing and priming of dialyzers prior to their use.
• Shall ensure that the dialyzer belongs to the patient by properly identifying the patient and the dialyzer under his/her name during each session.
• Shall ensure that reused dialyzers which pass the performance test will only be used. Any failed dialyzer should be disposed of properly.
• Shall prepare dialysis baths according to the right formula and proper calibration and settings on the dialysis machine.
• Shall prepare, rinse, and disinfect dialysis machines prior and after every dialysis procedure.
• Shall prepare and calibrate the reprocessing machines at the start of the day prior to its use.
• Shall properly label and collect all used dialyzers in the dialysis area and store them properly in accordance with the internal protocol of the Dialysis Center to prevent the spillage of blood products as well as avoid their con...
