Diamond Turning Technician

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The role involves controlling and verifying the thickness, prepare and set up diamond-turning machines, ensuring proper tool alignment, machine calibration, and configuration for the specific task. Finish quality, and optical figure of all machined parts. Adjust the correct diamond-cutting tools based on material and desired specifications. Perform precision machining of components, such as mirrors or lenses, by controlling the diamond-cutting tool, Inspect parts during and after machining to ensure they meet required specifications, using tools like interferometers and other measuring instruments to verify optical quality and finish.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, with competency in math and algebra skills.
• Precision machining, Mechatronics or CNC programming
