Dietitian - Medical Surgical

Fixed term, part‑time position up to 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week). Hours of work are Monday‑Friday 08:00‑16:30, plus rostered on‑call.

Location: Christchurch Health Campus.

New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current NZ Practising Certificate is essential.

Role Overview

Our team of dynamic and motivated Dietitians based primarily at Christchurch Campus supports adult and paediatric patients across a range of clinical specialties including Critical Care, orthopaedics, otolaryngology, respiratory, neurology, general medical, surgical wards and outpatients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional assessment and nutrition care plans to medical inpatients within the adult team across medical and surgical wards.
• Provide nutritional education to patients within the service, encouraging and motivating real behaviour change.
