Position Summary
The Raw Material Buyer is responsible for the timely and accurate procurement of raw materials to support production schedules, ensuring alignment with quality standards, inventory levels, and company policies.
This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with internal departments and suppliers, and proactive problem-solving to guarantee material availability and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain effective communication and relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor purchasing system to ensure timely procurement of raw materials.
- Verify accuracy of quantities and item numbers for all deliveries.
- Prepare and analyze purchase reports.
- Inspect and confirm that materials received from the Douglas warehouse match system records.
- Ensure data accuracy in the purchasing system.
