Direct Materials Buyer (Monterrey)

About Us

This position is responsible for the daily procurement activities of assigned categories, ensure continuity of supply, competitive pricing, quality and technical innovation by managing the assigned category spend in support of the strategic plan.

Tasks

• Work closely with Category Managers to set objectives for categories and agree on how value will be measured and delivered.
• Prepare and present to Category Managers purchasing and spend reports on a monthly basis in supplier/category spend, RFX, supplier performance, saving/productivity, DPO, and other value-indicative areas of opportunity.
• Execute supply market searches as required by Category Managers. Interview, research suppliers & determine those who can supply on a regional and/or local basis at the lowest overall cost to the corporation.
