Job Description

Our Telecommunications group is currently looking to add a Directional (HDD) Driller to our growing team, based in Castor, AB.

Reporting to the Crew Foreman, we are seeking an experienced Driller with experience operating Telecommunications Construction equipment. This position requires the operator to know how to maintain and take care of the machinery that is being operated and to create a safe working area around their equipment. The work will be on underground FTTP and utility installations across Alberta.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and appropriate manor
  • Load and unload directional bore equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free
  • Place telecom structures and pedestals
  • Place underground and overhead fiber and copper cables
  • Couple conduit and pull different types of cables
  • Participate in Tailgate/Tailboard meetings
