Job Description
Summary This Senior Executive Service (SES) position is in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, Existing Chemical Risk Management Division. About OCSPP: https://www.epa.gov/aboutepa/about-office-chemical-safety-and-pollution-prevention This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected). Responsibilities The Existing Chemical Risk Management Division is responsible for addressing several mandates for existing chemicals (those already in commerce and on the Inventory) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), while continuing to address harmful legacy chemicals that remain in the environment. This includes the Polychlorinated Biphenyl (PCB) provisions of TSCA, the national Asbestos laws, the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act, and the new Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood P...
