Director, Investment Services

Director, Investment Services Alberta Innovates is seeking a Director, Investment Services. This role will be responsible for planning, implementing and leading corporate due diligence to support Alberta Innovates’ investment decisions. The primary responsibility of the role is to oversee the due diligence conducted on investment applications to drive evidence‑based operational, capital and investment decisions. The successful applicant will bring deep investment expertise, including venture capital and private equity, people leadership experience, and the ability to ensure activities are compliant with corporate policies and applicable regulatory requirements. The role will also leverage market insights to support non‑dilutive and dilutive investment strategies including structuring, evaluating, and facilitating co‑investment and syndication opportunities.
