Director of Community Services

The City of Melville is seeking an experienced and community‑focused leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Director of Community Services. Reporting directly to the City Manager, this senior leadership position is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, development and strategic direction of the Citys recreation facilities, parks, programs, tourism initiatives, communications and emergency services.

Responsibilities

Lead the day‑to‑day and long‑term operations of the CN Community Centre, Merv Moore Sportsplex, swimming pool, outdoor arenas, parks, trails and other municipal recreation facilities.

Oversee recreation programming, facility maintenance, asset management, public relations, marketing, tourism and corporate communications while working collaboratively with Public Works, Protective Services and community stakeholders.
