Director of Finance

Overview The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the finance and accounting function for a large‑scale manufacturing operation in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role will oversee financial reporting, costing, operational analysis, budgeting, and internal controls, while acting as a key business partner to operational leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead all plant finance and accounting activities, including month‑end close, reporting, and financial analysis

Oversee and participate in cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis

Prepare and review monthly financial and management reporting packages

Analyze production costs, raw material usage, labour, and operational efficiencies

Partner with operations leadership to identify cost‑saving opportunities and support strategic decision‑making

Develop budgets, forecasts, and business plans for the facility
