Director of Intake & Screening

Overview


Directly reporting to the Director of Clinical Education with a dotted line to the Executive Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs, the Director of Intake & Screening at the Touro College of Dental Medicine’s clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico will monitor the patient intake process, review referrals, and provide general student support in the clinics as it pertains to doctor/patient interactions and overall clinic operations.


Responsibilities


+ Monitor the comprehensive intake process of gathering dental history, medical history and dental needs.

+ Reviews patient referrals as conducted by student dentists.

+ Determines & delegates emergency treatments when necessary.

+ Initiate and guide student doctor/patient interaction and assist in transition to clinical practice.

+ Determine if new patients qualify, to be patients in our predoctoral program.
